Documents Required

When applying for Tier 1, the following documents are required as evidence for the sections under which points are claimed.

Age

  • Passport
Educational Qualification
  • Degree Certificate Original
  • Consolidated Mark Statement
Past Earnings
  • Income Tax Return form
  • Payslips for the period under which points for past earnings are claimed
  • Bank Statements corresponding to the 12 months
English Proficiency
  • IELTS Mark statement or
  • Degree from a university which is recognized by NARIC
In addition to this, you will also require documents to prove that
  • There are enough jobs matching your skills in UK
  • You have arranged for your accommodation in UK
  • Your funds will be sufficient to cover your expenses according to your lifestyle
It is common for Tier 1 applicants to not have possession of one or more of the above documents. This generally leads to providing additional evidence and drafting the cover letter accordingly. It has been seen in the past that due to very minor oversight on part of the applicant, the applications have been rejected by the team at Home Office, UK.
